COVID-19 Updates

In consultation with the Pasadena Health Department, La Salle College Prep offers this COVID-19 page as a resource to students, parents, faculty, staff, coaches and other affected campus community members. Please check back often for the latest updates.

Current Protocols for all students, faculty, staff and coaches - As of 7-20-22

Vaccination
While being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is not a requirement for enrollment or employment at La Salle, it is highly recommended. Vaccinations are safe and effective and reduce the risk of severe illness. Vaccinations can reduce the spread of disease, which helps protect those who get vaccinated and the people around them. For additional information and a list of vaccination locations, click here.

Masking
At this time, masking of students, faculty, staff, and coaches is not required but is highly recommended. Those who wish to wear a mask may still do so. For additional information about masking, click here.

Testing
At this time, periodic testing of students, faculty, staff, and coaches is not required. Those who wish to test on their own may still do so at their own expense. For a list of area testing locations, click here.

Daily Screening
While La Salle is no longer requiring the use of the MyMedBot app to enter campus, we ask that everyone self-screen themselves at home prior to coming to campus. Those exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 must stay home. Symptoms include but are not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, vomiting, diarrhea. If you’re not sure whether symptoms exist, we ask that you remain home and consult your medical professional.

Extracurricular Activities (athletics, performing arts, field trips, transportation, etc.)
In addition to the above protocols, additional guidelines may be put in place for all La Salle extracurricular events and use of school transportation. Coaches and moderators will provide students and families with additional information for each event as necessary.

Best Practices
It takes a village!! The entire La Salle community should be practicing the following behaviors: stay home if you are sick, wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth when coughing, practice physical distancing, and get vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

What do I do if I test positive for COVID-19?
