Pam Wagner

  • What colleges/universities did you graduate from and what degrees did you receive from each?

Pasadena City College - AA degree
Santa Clara University - BA, Religious Studies
University of Notre Dame - MA, Liturgical Studies

  • What do you teach?

In the Religious Studies department, I teach seniors in Christian Life and Service/Vocation and Mission

  • What other roles/responsibilities do you have on campus?

I coordinate the senior service program and lead Music for the Masses

  • How many years have you been at La Salle?

I've been teaching at La Salle for 15 years. I've been teaching for 32 years.

  • Why have you stayed at La Salle?

I've stayed at La Salle because I really enjoy teaching in a co-ed environment. I find teaching in a Lasallian school to be very challenging. Since the Lasallian charism is focused on education, I find that I'm always improving my pedagogy with each year. I also get so much energy and joy working with the students.

  • What is your favorite thing about teaching at La Salle?

I really enjoy watching students mature over the four years. I feel honored to accompany my seniors as they prepare to move to the next stage of their lives.

  • What are your hobbies/interests outside of La Salle?

Outside of La Salle, I love spending time with my two children, their spouses and especially my four grandchildren. I try to garden when I can and am proud that my plants are overgrown - I used to kill everything I planted. I'm also getting back to reading fiction and binging really good television series.

  • If you were a student at La Salle today, which current clubs, activities, or organizations would you be a part of?

I would join the Music for the Masses!! And any theater production and choir. Also the sustainability club.
