We're thrilled that our "Ride the Cyclone" production was nominated for four John Raitt Awards for Youth, recognizing high school musical theater excellence across Southern California. Competing with over 40 schools and tens of thousands of students, our nominees stand out for their incredible talent and dedication:

  • Michael Fortanasce for Outstanding Ensemble Member
  • Allyson Copeland for Outstanding Female Vocalist
  • Gahel Garciano for Lead Actor in a Male Comedic Role
  • La Salle Orchestra, conducted by Greg Ziomek and featuring faculty member Elijah Ziomek, for Student Orchestra of the Year

In addition to these accolades, Augie Matsuura has been nominated for the Tim MacDougall Vocal Scholarship and Allyson Copeland for the Broadway Artists Alliance Scholarship, further highlighting our students' exceptional talent and dedication.

Join us in celebrating all our nominees and the entire team behind our first musical in four years. Come support our students as they perform a number from the show at the awards ceremony on May 27th at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse.
