Dr. Richard Gray Memorial - San Miguel Scholarship Fund

The Dr. Richard Gray Memorial - San Miguel Scholarship Fund has been established to recognize the work and remarkable achievements of La Salle College Preparatory’s second school president, Dr. Richard M. Gray. During his twenty-year tenure as La Salle’s president, he oversaw the construction of Kohorst Field, campaigns to provide funds for technology and the arts, including the construction of a state-of-the-art STEAM laboratory, and funding for La Salle’s Blaskelee Learning Commons, among other important initiatives. Chief among his achievements, though, was the establishment of the San Miguel Scholarship Program, a full-tuition scholarship offered to students of academic promise whose family income puts them at or below the federal poverty line. This four-year scholarship includes waivers of textbooks, fees, and other costs, and serves at least 5% of La Salle’s student population.

Your gift to the Dr. Richard Gray Memorial - San Miguel Scholarship Fund helps assure the permanence of the San Miguel Scholarship Fund at La Salle College Preparatory. This hallmark program established by President Gray in 2001 supports students who stand in the greatest financial need at our School. The range of gift options reflects the importance Richard attached to this program during his twenty-year tenure as President, and it is our hope to honor his memory by quickly growing this endowed fund.

May God bless you for your care.
