La Salle High School graduated 176 seniors at its 51th Commencement on Friday evening, May 28. Commencement Exercises took place at the Church of the Nazarene, next-door to the School.  Julia M. Barrero received the La Salle High School General Excellence Award, and will attend Stanford in the fall. Julia also received the John Stygles Student-Athlete award among other accolades. The General Merit Awards went to Lauren T. Schenker. Lauren will leave for Tufts University, in Boston later this summer.
Cheyenne Wingate received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy,  and Michael Edwards received an appointment to the United States Military Academy. Andrea Edoria and Daniella Laset received the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Christian Service Award. And Natalie D. Plasencia was selected by her senior class peers to receive the Pro Deo et Patria Award.
Matt Nolan and Kimberly Takaoka. received the Brother Celestine All Around Athlete Award. Marco Suarez was chosen by the Faculty Commencement Committee for the honor of delivering the Commencement Address.
100% of La Salle’s graduating class will attend college next year.
