Visual Arts

The Visual Arts Department at La Salle High School provides visual art students with skills and techniques in various media while focusing on concepts and ideas. The Introduction to Art class for freshmen focuses on basic skills, concepts and theory in 2-D and 3-D Art and Design. Students advance to a diverse curriculum that offers classes that include Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Ceramics, and Print making. Classes are supplemented by visiting artists, as well as field trips to LA museums and galleries. Students have exhibit opportunities twice a year.

The La Salle High School Visual Arts Department has developed a reputation of excellence for the study of art and design. Its students win national and regional recognition and enter the finest art schools and universities nationwide.
