Service Projects

Back to School Drive:

For the first month of school, La Salle High School collects academic based donations that are given to those who otherwise may not afford the tools required to gain an education.

Union Station:

La Salle High School is starting it’s 18th year of cooking at Union Station in Pasadena.  The school participates in the Adopt-a-Meal program on the 4th Tuesday of each month. Typically 6-8 students and adult moderators participate.

Adopt-A-Family:

Every Advent season, the La Salle community provides Christmas
presents and a Christmas party for families in need.

Catholic Schools Week Service:

Beginning with the freshman class on Monday of this week, each class is sent out on a different day to various service sites in the Los Angeles
area.

March Madness Week of Drives:

Throughout this week, the Service Team organizes various donationdrives. In the past this has included drives such as school supplies for an
elementary school, games for a children’s hospital, and clothing for a homeless shelter.

St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser:

Participants garner sponsorships to support the St.
Baldrick’s Foundation, which funds research for childhood cancer. The Service Team hosts a fun-filled evening event to culminate the fundraiser, where the participants shave their heads on-stage. Last year, over 35 students, faculty, and staff shaved their heads, raising over $6,000 for St. Baldrick’s.

Other opportunities:

In addition to our large-scale projects, the Service Team
organizes and participates in many smaller events. If you have a suggestion for a project or event, we would love to hear it. Please contact Ms. Grima or Julia Jacques with questions.
